Well done to our Women’s team who performed creditably in the National Premier League Doubles Finals held a St George’s Hill Tennis club. Well played to all who made this a memorable tournament in 2019!
We had a whopping 144 entrants in all events. 167 Matches were played over 15 events from Under 8s to 60 and Over players!!
Thanks to all who showed up for an excellent Finals day played Indoors which added to the atmosphere where the Tennis was of a very high level.
The results of our annual Summer Regional Open Tournament (sponsored by Sports & Leisure London) are in. Some of the best players Regionally and Nationally competed from all age groups with top level tennis being played on both indoor and outdoor courts. Congratulations to Club Members who claimed honours at the event.
Congratulations to sprightly 90 year old Lennie who showed the youngsters how to do it!, In the GB Seniors 85+ championship held at the All England Club he overcame the number 1 seed in the semi -finals in a champions tie-break final set to go on to take the Men’s Final in 2 sets.
Well done to our Middlesex Team Tennis Chandos players in 2019. Both came first in this Singles and Doubles event with some of the top teams in the County. They will now go on to represent Middlesex against the other home counties for a place in the Regional South East Division.

Well done to Jada Okoye and Noah Segal who will be our representatives in the Road to Wimbledon. National event qualifiers will actually get to play on the courts at Wimbledon. First our 2 Under 14 winners will play in the County Play-offs held in July.
Finals Day Sunday 23rd September was played on the indoor courts due to the heaviest downpours that we have experienced for quite some time. We still managed to have our BBQ lunch and watch some great tennis.
We had an extremely strong entry this year and Chandos players once again contested the Finals.
