The Government announcement of Friday 10th July gave the green light for the opening up of indoor leisure facilities from the 25th July. The latest LTA guidelines were released late Monday 13th July and in conjunction with the Government guidelines and having completed a further risk assessment, we are updating you on the re-opening of the facilities and day to day running of the Club. At all times we would ask that you respect the one (1) metre plus social distancing rule and use the hand sanitisers frequently.

Pre-Attendance Symptoms Check
No-one should leave home to come to the Club if they, or someone they live with, has symptoms of COVID 19 – currently recognised as any of the following:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss of, or change to, their sense of smell or taste

Should an individual have demonstrated any such symptoms, they must follow NHS and PHE guidance on self isolation.

Indoor courts
These will open from 25th July with access via the main building front door. The usual £12 per hour, seven (7) day booking in advance, bookings on the hour are reintroduced. Booking, if having a lesson can only be made by the member (not the coach).

Booking opens Thursday 23rd July at 10.0am.

Please only take water onto these courts – NO FIZZY DRINKS, TEA, COFFEE or FOOD!

Outdoor courts
Bookings to revert back to on the hour as of Saturday 25th July. Access until Monday 3rd August through the outside gate, and from Monday 3rd August – gate entry will be deactivated and access will be through the main front door. Last booking 8.00-9.00pm.

Bins will be reinstated and will be sanitised and emptied daily. The net winders and benches will not be reinstated at this time.

The online booking system will be unavailable to use overnight from Tuesday 21st July 9.00pm to Wednesday 22nd July 10.00am to initiate the changes needed.

General Booking Rules
Pre lockdown rules are reinstated. (see club rule 4: Consecutive bookings) ‘On consecutive bookings on any court, there is a maximum of 2 hours permitted, if requiring additional playing time, a 2 hour gap is required between booking a new session. This does not apply to coaches or to having a private lesson before or after a 2 hour booking’.

Visitors
Visitors will now be permitted, please enter ‘visitor’ at time of booking, adult visitor £8 per visit, child visitor £4 per visit. Only permitted three (3) times and will then be asked to join the Club. Visitors will need to fill in a ‘Contact Tracing’ form, situated on the white table in the front entrance area. The form will be kept by the Club for a period of twenty one (21) days.

Gym
We have set up online booking slots accessible by logging with your membership number and ID password. Under 16’ permitted ONLY with an adult/trainer. Two (2) person maximum permitted – either trainer plus one (1) OR two (2) members during each slot. Booking seven (7) days in advance, booking opens Thursday 23rd July at 10.00am. Whilst deep cleaning will take place three (3) times a day, each member user is responsible for cleaning his/her own equipment before and after use – sprays and paper towels provided. Access to the gym will ONLY be via your door entry fob, new reader has been installed.

Mini Tennis
An online booking system has been set up – coaches will continue to book for their U10 member.

Cafe
Open from Monday 27th July – limited menu and amended hours – will be posted on bar area. Payment only with card. Vending machines will not be in use. Please kindly respect social distancing and use the hand sanitisers positioned in the area before and after using cafe facilities. Please bring all crockery and cutlery back to the shelf unit by the bar and dispose of your rubbish in the automated bins provided.

Office
Open from Monday 3rd August – limited hours – only one (1) member allowed in at a time, mask or face covering must be worn and social distancing measures apply. Appointments will be necessary if wishing to discuss matters face to face with the office staff.

Door handles/rails
Whilst these will be periodically cleaned, members must adopt appropriate hand hygiene measures and are advised to either wear gloves, pull sleeves or hands or to wash or sanitise hands immediately afterwards. Gloves are available in a container by the office.

On exiting, please use Hand Sanitiser and respect the one (1) metre plus rule until you reach your mode of transport and exit the premises.

Viewing area onto the courts
Please respect social distancing at all times and try to refrain from touching metal rail. Maximum of six (6) people viewing per court and spread out in line as per the Government guidelines.

Changing Rooms and WC’s
Non – touch soap dispensers and paper towels have been installed in the washrooms. Cleaning will take place three (3) times a day. Sanitiser sprays are available for members to use.
Showers: whilst these are available, we would ask that where possible, you should shower at home.

To minimise the use of the changing rooms we recommend that you come dressed to play.

Bikes and Scooters
These must be left outside of the building and must not be taken inside. They are left at owners risk.

Finally, we thank all those members who have understood the complexities of our Club and expressed their gratitude in the running of it over the past few weeks. We are now looking forward and hope to create a more ‘normal’ environment, whilst accepting the new reality and complying with the necessary requirements.
