Congratulations to sprightly 90 year old Lennie who showed the youngsters how to do it!, In the GB Seniors 85+ championship held at the All England Club he overcame the number 1 seed in the semi -finals in a champions tie-break final set to go on to take the Men’s Final in 2 sets.
Already an 85 and over Doubles world champion our Club President produced a great performance to take the title. Lennie was also featured in a national newspaper item that was published alongside Wimbledon coverage in July in praise of his continued competitive feats .
Lennie is a regular player at the club and we are proud to have him grace our courts.
