We had an extremely strong entry this year, with top level players coming from the South East region to compete in this high level event. Players ranged from 6 years old to over 40 years.
A strong entry of 295 players played 325 matches at the club. Another good showing by Chandos players with 20 taking part and 8 reaching the event finals.
Highlights included victory in the 18 and under Boy’s event by men’s team member Louis Quaynor far right in picture, wins in an all Chandos Doubles final for Gunther Darkey/Charlie Croxford over Louis Quaynor and Chris Anguelov. Francis Sy-Siong won another all Chandos final by taking the Men’s 40 and over final against Gil Goldberg.
Other highlights included Tania Freire Galivanes as Runner up on the Women’s Singles event.
