Coaching at Chandos
All coaches are excellent at teaching all levels of player, please see their specialist areas below. Demand for individual lessons is limited, especially at peak time of after school and weekends.
A trial lesson will be permitted, if court and coach availability permits, payment required in advance of £45 with additional £12 lighting fee if booked indoors. There is no fee for an outside court. To arrange an assessment or lesson in advance of joining, please fill in the ‘Join Us’ application form and you will be contacted as soon as possible.
Our Coaches
Javier Romero
(Head Coach)
As a junior Javier was a top ranked Junior at all age groups he continued on to play college Tennis and competed on the ITF tennis circuit achieving a World ranking.
As a coach Javier has experience working with some of the best international coaches and players whilst he was head coach at Emilio Sanchez Vicario’s tennis academy.
During his time there he worked with various professional players including the Bryan brothers as coach and training partner.
Qualifications: RPT Pro instructor, ITF Pro coaching certified
Gunther Darkey
Gunther has been a member of Chandos since 1998 and he has been a coach at the club since 2001. During this time he has gained a wide range of experience working with players of all ages and ability. He is a level 4 LTA accredited coach.
He enjoys working with beginners and advanced players alike. Gunther was the Number 1 player in Ghana for 10 years and represented his country in the Davis Cup
Natalie Neri
Natalie is an LTA licensed coach with over 12 years of experience as a Full and part-time coach in various clubs. Played on the Junior ITF circuit reaching a Singles ranking of 220 and Doubles ranking of 120.
Daniella Taub
Daniella is a Level 4 LTA Accredited coach with over 20 years of coaching experience. She is a Mini Tennis specialist, but is able to teach a wide range of levels , from Beginner to advanced
Elves Martins-Aguiar
Elves has been coaching since 2014 where he started coaching in the Teddy Tennis programme. He specialises in coaching children and beginner adults to enjoy the game and focuses on improving footwork, body movement and stroke technique
Darryl Reyes
Darryl is an LTA licensed Level 3 coach and the club’s Coaching Administrator. She has been part of Chandos from a young age, playing in our junior performance squads and representing the club in team matches. She has been running our Junior Programme for a few years and has over ten years of experience coaching
Aleks Mitric
Aleks has played from an early age and reached a top level Division 1 NCAA standard in the U.S.A. He has coached for over 12yrs in a number of successful tennis programmes from Highgate Junior Performance tennis and David Lloyd clubs. He is a Level 3 accredited LTA coach. Aleks has a passion for helping
Tiffany William
Tiffany has been coaching since 2023 and is a Level 3 LTA accredited coach. As a junior, she trained at the National Tennis Centre representing the U.K. in the U14’s category. Upon earning a tennis scholarship, she graduated from the University of Middle Tennessee with a BA in Psychology. Tiffany reached a career high of 764 in singles and 590 in doubles.
Sizya Kivanda
Sizya began playing tennis at the age of nine yrs old and achieved a top 30 national ranking whilst representing Middlesex County. Holding an LTA rating of 1.1, he coaches players of all ages and enjoys helping them improve through hard work and dedication. He is an LTA level 2 Coach
Bobby Saraby
Bobby started playing tennis at the age of 4. He has represented Middlesex at 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 age groups and at Middlesex County Events. Ranked in the top 50 in Great Britain for his age. He holds a BA Sports Management Degree at London Metropolitan University. He has competed in Futures Tennis events
Charlie Croxford
With over 15 years at the club, Charlie brings a wealth of experience to every lesson. A former top 10 U.K. U18 player who represented Middlesex county, Charlie went on to play Div. 1 college tennis in the U.S. on a scholarship. Mukthar Andu
Mukhtar is an LTA level 3 accredited coach and former professional player recognised as the youngest ever to win an ATP point in both singles and doubles. As a junior he was ranked no. 1 in the country from ages 10 through to 16 and represented Great Britain during this period. Mukhtar works with players
