Coaching at Chandos

All coaches are excellent at teaching all levels of player, please see their specialist areas below. Demand for individual lessons is limited, especially at peak time of after school and weekends.

A trial lesson will be permitted, if court and coach availability permits, payment required in advance of £45 with additional £12 lighting fee if booked indoors. There is no fee for an outside court. To arrange an assessment or lesson in advance of joining, please fill in the ‘Join Us’ application form and you will be contacted as soon as possible.


Our Coaches

Javier Romero
(Head Coach)

After initially playing on the ATP Tour and achieving a world ranking Javier went on to continue with an academic tennis scholarship at an American University obtaining an International Business degree before becoming a professional tennis coach.

Gunther Darkey

Gunther has been a member of Chandos since 1998 and an LTA licensed CCA coach at the club since 2001. During this time he has gained a wide range of experience working with players of all ages and ability. Gunther was the Number 1 player in Ghana for 10 years and represented his country in the Davis Cup.

Natalie Neri

Natalie is an LTA licensed coach with over 12 years of experience as a Full and part-time coach in various clubs. Played on the Junior ITF circuit reaching a Singles ranking of 220 and Doubles ranking of 120.

Emilia Banos

Top level junior and senior player- number 1 in Surrey in 14 and 16 age groups. British Tour Masters winner. Full time player with International experience and has gained WTA points. She brings 4 years of experience of tennis coaching at all levels and is an LTA Qualified Coach Level 3.

Ken Oishi

Ken played for many years on the ITF tennis circuit and has plenty of experience with top players having trained and worked with Ivanovic, Kerber and Muguruza. Further to his tennis expertise, Ken is a qualified fitness/strength and conditioning coach.

Daniella Taub

Daniella is a Level 4 LTA licensed coach and has played to a high club standard for over 20 years. Her previous club Cumberland LTC is where she started her coaching career specialising in Mini Tennis for 5 – 10 year olds. She co-founded and developed ‘Little Smashers’ tennis programme  based at Swiss Cottage Leisure

Bobby Saraby

Bobby started playing tennis at the age of 4. He has represented Middlesex at 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 age groups and at Middlesex County Events. Ranked in the top 50 in Great Britain for his age. He holds a BA Sports Management Degree at London Metropolitan University. He holds an LTA rating of 3.2

Alejandro Carmona

Alejandro is a Part 4 Performance LTA accredited coach who has worked overseas for several years before coming to the U.K. As a very successful Head Coach in Edinburgh for several years, recently he moved to London. He holds an ITF level 3 Physics Biomechanics and Psychology diploma as well as a degree in law.
