Latest Information for Wimbledon 2021
On 24 May in response to the Government restrictions regarding Covid-19, the AELTC made the following statement:
“Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, The All England Lawn Tennis Club will be adhering to Government regulations and therefore, The Championships is likely to look and feel different this year. This means we are likely to receive a much smaller allocation of tickets for our members.
Instead of running a ballot for members this year, there will be an online Advantage ticket sale in June, similar to AELTC’s online sale. Due to the late on-sale date, an online ticket sale will allow more flexibility if the AELTC need to react to changes in government guidelines prior to The Championships.
As you’re part of Advantage Play+ you’ve hit a winner! You will get access to buying these sought after tickets for SW19 via the LTA Advantage Wimbledon Ticket Sale.
We’ll be in touch in the next few weeks with more detail on how, where and when you can access the online sale. In the meantime, make sure your contact details are up to date and that your membership isn’t due to expire.”
It is planned that the Championships will go ahead from 28 June-11 July 2021.
The AELTC Public Ballot
Entry into the Ballot does not automatically entitle applicants to tickets for Wimbledon, but to a place in the draw for tickets. It is not possible to request tickets for specific days or courts, as the day and court offered are chosen randomly by a computerised selection process.
