On the last few days of September 2025, a team of players from Chandos travelled to Venice to participate in an International Competition against three other clubs from Europe. The event comprise of Men’s and Women’s Singles and Doubles 50+ and 60+ age category. The event was held at Tennis Club Venezia on the beautiful Lido di Venezia. Our opponents were Czech Lawn Tennis Club Praha, who won the competition, The Lawn Tennis Turnier Club Rot Weiss in Berlin and the host club, Tennis Club Venezia. We fought hard but ended up in fourth position but were given the accolade of being, ‘most fun and well dressed’.
