Parliament has this afternoon backed the new four-week coronavirus lockdown for England. Our governing body, the LTA have just released a statement confirming that all outdoor and indoor facilities must close. Therefore, the club will fully close from last booking tonight.

The Government announcement of Friday 10th July gave the green light for the opening up of indoor leisure facilities from the 25th July. The latest LTA guidelines were released late Monday 13th July and in conjunction with the Government guidelines and having completed a further risk assessment, we are updating you on the re-opening of the facilities and day to day running of the Club.

Following the LTA latest issued guidelines, we are pleased to advise that doubles play is now permitted at Chandos from Wednesday onwards. In addition, you may share tennis balls but it is recommended that you clean your hands before and after using shared tennis balls with your own alcohol gel or by using the sanitizer gel situated within the gazebo area…

As you are aware, following the Government and LTA guidelines, Chandos Tennis Club had to close its doors on Friday 20 March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Unfortunately, like many others, our brilliant, friendly and enthusiastic team of coaches have not been able to work and are therefore struggling through these tough and unprecedented times.

A funding page has been set up to try to help them through this difficult period. If you can, please try and support them, all proceeds will go directly to them.
